[TJ glances up when the door opens and how'd this guy get so damn big. Drank all his milk as kid or something. He exhales, breath a hazy white cloud as he straightens up and steps forward. And keeps stepping forward until he's right in front of Steve. There. Now he can see how much of height difference they have. Nothing really, but he does not have anything on the guy in the muscle department.

But it's not his practically perfect body that has TJs nerves shooting sky high. It's the charming smile. Great. He's probably a doofus inside that beefcake exterior. Kryptonite to all the TJ Hammond's in the world.]

[He sticks his hand out into the small space between them.]

TJ. [A slight, thoughtful pause.] You look amazing, by the way.

[He inhales sharply as TJ steps into his space unexpectedly, but he fights the urge to act. There's a lot to be said about reflexes even in a situation that shouldn't be threatening. And he doesn't feel threatened exactly, he's just not used to being in such close proximity with someone outside of his group. If Natasha could see him now she'd probably fall over laughing. This is what he gets for refusing to go out on regular dates and learn how to act naturally.

Swallowing, he rallies to bring his smile back and accepts TJ's hand in a firm grip.]

Steve. And thank you. You clean up pretty good yourself.

[Oh god. His flirt game is so weak with disuse. Help.]

[It was genuine and that was appealing, in its own right. TJ preferred sincerity even if he wasn’t always as keen to give it. But Steve started with that and TJ was helpless but to reciprocate.]

How about you take my arm and make everyone at that party damn jealous?

[Of TJ, that is. Steve was hot. Beautiful even. He was lucky to have him join him tonight. He sticks his arm out in invitation, holding it crooked at the elbow.]

Figured we could dance. Eat. Learn about each other.

[He snorts softly in amusement but does as asked, sliding his arm under and around TJ's. It's been so long since he'd last walked like this with anyone. Even the spark of attraction he'd felt with Sharon had been snuffed out before getting anywhere.

It felt...nice. To feel wanted like that again.]

You sure know how to make a guy feel special. [It's teasing but he's more then pleased with that game plan. He loves dancing and food. The conversation would just be a bonus.]

Why don't we get a head start on that last bit? [They do have a good walk ahead of them.] How long have you been here?

[TJ grins and uses the grip on Steve's arm to tug him closer. It was nice having a warm body pressed so close. Especially one that was so attractive. And sweet.]

[They do have a bit of a walk ahead of them and TJs not really in a rush to make it there fast. In fact, they don't have to make it there at all. He's just pleased to be out on the date and whatever happens, happens.]

[He had to assume at least longer than him. Maybe not but Steve appeared confident in that regard.]

Not really in a rush to go home either.

[Steve grins at him and allows himself to be tugged closer. He has a tendency to run hot, so he can act as a built in heater against the cold weather at least.]

Really? Not much longer then me. I arrived a couple weeks ago. At the beginning of the month.

[He tosses TJ a questioning look at his following statement.]

[Though he's bundled up for the low temps, TJs grateful that Steve runs hot. It's nice to feel toasty while they're on their walk. It means that they can take their time.]

Yeah. Haven't been here all that long.

[Still getting his footing and figuring out where he stands.]

There's nobody there.

[He shrugs. He's not good company for himself.]

[He goes quiet for a moment at the admission, regretting that he had asked. When he had first woken up from the ice he had felt like that, lost to his home and everyone who had ever mattered to him. He hadn't had anyone then. Not until the Avengers.]

I'm sorry to hear that.

What about the Quarantine? Neither of us have been here long, but you must have some opinion of it so far.

[TJ didn't mind the question. Steve wanted to know why he didn't like being in his room and that way why. He didn't have anyone there. His twin, his Nana. Hell, even his parents wouldn't be minded.]

I think there's something fucked up going on.

[He presses closer to Steve's side, a frown tugging his lips down.]
