character information
● name: Steven “Steve” Grant Rogers
● canon: Marvel Cinematic Universe
● canon point: Post Captain America: Civil War
● age: 99, but appears about late 20s/early 30s.
● (canon) background: Here
● abilities: This Wiki comprises a complete list of his abilities, superhuman and otherwise, as well as his knowledge of weapons. Aside from these Steve is also a skilled and trained artist, having majored in Art in college. He can draw anything from landscapes to cartoony doodles.
● strengths:
Loyal: Steve is an man who will quite literally walk through fire and burn everything to the ground for the people he cares about. No risk is too big, no sacrifice unthinkable. He has fought close friends and gone so far as to become a fugitive just to protect his best friend with no hesitation. Once he’s made a strong attachment to someone, he’ll do just about anything for them.
True to Himself: He is driven by the need to do the right thing, and to see justice done. He never hesitates to stand up for someone when they’re being bullied, or to call an organization like SHIELD out on things he disagrees with. He’s not one to ever shy away from speaking his mind, or arguing in favor of what he believes is right. His values system is unshakable.
Adaptable: Steve has been both a solider and a spy, both in which he’s had to operate under shifting environments and around new people. He knows how to blend in with his surroundings and make the best of his situation. He’s an excellent strategist and as such has no trouble thinking on his feet, during battle or otherwise, to come up with a strategy to work to his benefit.
● weaknesses:
Self-sacrificing: Steve is willing to do whatever it takes to protect people, including give up his own life. He’s jumped on a grenade (which turned out to be fake) without hesitating in an attempt to spare his troop. He’s driven a plane into the ocean to save New York from being bombed. During his battle with Bucky, he’s even willing to allow his friend to kill him rather continue fighting. He doesn’t count his own life as important as those of the people around him, especially the people he loves.
Guilt-complex: He tends to carry the burdens of the world on his shoulders. He feels guilt over situations he couldn’t control, such as Bucky’s fall from the train. And he tends to hold onto that guilt for as long as he can, to self-deprecate over it. Things he feels to be personally his fault are knives he uses to stab his self with, to remind him that he can’t fail again. And he is unwilling to allow others to help shoulder the burden emotionally. He doesn’t like to share his emotional and mental wounds.
Stubborn: Steve is entirely uncompromising and quick to make snap judgements that take a lot of time for him to change his mind about. Basically, once he has decided something must go a certain way; he is sure as hell going to make sure it goes that way no matter how many people are telling him otherwise. This is seen in his entire handling of the Accords and unwillingness to cooperate.
● job skills (optional): Steve would have an interest in the Perimeter Guard, so he’s likely to give away details about his military background: trained in combat both hand-to-hand as well as with weapons, excellent marksman, excellent with a shield, a skilled tactician/strategist. He also has piloting skills. He’s likely to omit the super serum related factors completely, at least initially. And for something completely different, he’s a skilled artist.
● housing (optional): No preference!
